hand beaded bracelets created uplift your soul and share good vibes

File Apr 14, 9 51 53 AMI have always been a lover of “the deeper meaning.” These bracelets have been my “tattoo,” my “mantra,” and my “little bit of happy” to get me through the day since I was in high school. Now, my goal is to not only get through the day, but to enjoy each day.

The first bracelet I remember creating was magical. It was the summer before my senior year of high school. I was sitting underneath the tree at my Grandma’s beach house in Lavallette, New Jersey, reading a book my youth minister had given me for my Confirmation. My first boyfriend had just cheated on me, and I was doing everything in my power to positively overcome such a blow to the heart.

While reading “The Rhythm of Life” by Matthew Kelly, I came across a quote that really spoke to me. It was about needing fun, love, and joy in your life in order to be happy. Not only did I adore each of these words individually, but they meant something more for me beyond where, when, and how I found them as well: they were the initials of my parents- Jim & Linda Finnegan. The letters JLF had adorned a hand crocheted blanket that my mom’s grandma had crocheted for their wedding.

After creating such a meaningful bracelet for myself, the inspiration for more bracelets came quickly and easily. I began making bracelets for any and every occasion I could think of. I found great peace and happiness in creating these pieces for my loved ones.

In April of 2015, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. While I am still grateful to have been diagnosed and treated for the mental difficulties I face, I am also equally impressed with my ability to manage it for the first 25 years of my life.

Creating these bracelets in my own space, with my candle lit, and my music playing, is one of my “happy moments.” It gives me an opportunity to reset and find meaning in my life while creating happy reminders for others. Refocusing my angst into positive vibes through beading is my favorite form of therapy. Thank you for your support through your purchase! Always spread fun, joy, and love. xoxo.
